Summary: This is a great location, BUT the table and countertops had dried food on them. The deck and stairs need replaced, dangerous for elderly folks. The fireplace full of ashes and floors were dirty. The house is just old and in need of attention. The dishes are by far second hand, at this price point you expect the home to be sound, clean, and have nice amenities. The refrigerator handle was broken and inside the second shelf lid was missing. Slider door screen broken, no wood for wood stove or firepit outside. I could go on and on, I think you get the picture..

Summary: This is an outstanding property! Great views, lake access, mountain views, privacy and relaxed setting. The log house is very nice, with a great layout, room for a large family, great outdoor space and all the amenities to just stay home and enjoy the sunshine. Our family of 5 really enjoyed all there was to do on the property, in Sandpoint and on the lake. I can't think of a better place to enjoy the outdoors and relax with our family.

Summary: What a great time we just had at the Waterfront Ranch on Pend Orielle! It was my wife and I with our 2 kids, their spouses and 2 grandkids (7 and 4 years old), 8 of us in all. There is plenty of room in this fantastic house! It sits on a huge lot and the views in every direction are breathtaking. We all enjoyed relaxing on the deck, patios and dock. The grandkids loved the sandy beach. And what a treat the kayaks were. We all had fun floating in them. The house is solid, well built and huge! The owner has it well stocked and has even supplied plenty of firewood for the fire pit. And if you’re into games they have tons of them. We were never bored. The home was one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed. From this location, Sandpoint is 20 minutes or so away and the drive is easy and beautiful. There is a lot to do there. We went in to Sandpoint a couple of times and also decided to make a day trip up to Canada and had lunch in Creston. I could say much more about this gem of a home but the bottom line is that it is an excellent place to have a vacation to remember! Our 7 yr old granddaughter wanted to stay and move in! We will be back!

Summary: We chose this property for two reasons: we've always been curious about log cabins, and the property. Neither disappointed us. The property was absolutely amazing and the highlight of our stay. The fact that we were able to bring our dog was icing on the cake. During our stay, we saw bald eagles, ospreys, herons, wild turkeys, turkey vultures and several deer (including a newborn fawn). There's a semi-hidden trail behind the shop where the grass has been mowed down that takes you through the woods and out to the peninsula, then back home that we walked daily. The large yard was beautifully maintained and was perfect for playing with our dog. Mornings and evenings were spent on the deck just enjoying the stunning view across the water. The area is quiet and incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was beautiful, with a nice kitchen. It was adequately stocked with nice pots and pans, dishes, silverware and basic appliances (Keurig, toaster, microwave). Things like cookie sheets, cutting boards, utensils and knives were showing some wear and could stand to be replaced. And nothing in terms of basic supplies (spices, oils, foil, baggies, etc.) are provided; the few things that were there were clearly left by other renters, so you need to bring or buy literally everything you might need as there are no guarantees. The beds were comfortable, and there were more than enough towels, although some of them, while clean, had stains or were quite rough, and should probably be removed from rotation. We were never able to find the hairdryer that was stated as provided, just an odd brush/dryer combination that was full of other people's hair, so we did without. Overall the cabin was very clean, although it probably needs a deeper clean than just between visitors (for example, there were large cobwebs up in the ceiling, and under some of the furniture was quite dusty). What could have made the stay better? Window coverings in the two upstairs bathrooms. We're morning people and got used to no blinds in the bedroom loft area but some sort of blinds in the bathrooms would have made us a lot more comfortable. In addition, there was a lovely sitting area down by the beach, but the chairs were just thrown in the sand, not set up and filthy, so we never had an opportunity to enjoy that. Overall though, we had an amazing time and would absolutely come back again for another stay!
